Derek Gersch

Derek Gersch has a diverse work experience, primarily in the field of community services and sports. Derek started their career at San Diego State University as a Student Manager from April 2009 to December 2010. Derek then worked as a Varsity Football Coach at Sunny Hills High School from January 2011 to December 2012. In 2013, they joined the City of Buena Park as a Recreation Leader III until May 2015. Following that, they joined the City of Irvine and held multiple roles, including Community Services Leader II - Athletics from May 2014 to April 2015, Community Services Leader III - Athletic Programs and Facilities from April 2015 to September 2015, Middle School Program - Site Coordinator from September 2015 to May 2018, Community Services - Senior Leader from May 2018 to November 2019, and Community Services Specialist from November 2019 to the present. Currently, they are working as a Program Coordinator - Great Park Events & Operations at the City of Irvine.

Derek Gersch obtained their Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from San Diego State University between the years 2007 and 2011.
