Laura Coppola

Laura Coppola, GISP, currently serves as a Geographic Information System Specialist with the City of Kannapolis since October 2022. Previously, Laura held various positions at Leidos, Piedmont Natural Gas, and Charlotte Fire Department, where notable contributions included maintaining critical GIS databases, updating the CAD system, and creating mapping solutions for emergency services. Laura's early career included roles as a CAD Technician, Valet, and imagery collector, along with academic experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at UNC Charlotte, where significant skills in GIS and data analysis were developed. Laura earned a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Geography from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
