Sarah Smith

Sarah Smith is a skilled Senior Engineering (GIS) Technician with extensive experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and engineering support. Since January 2015, Sarah has been maintaining the ArcGIS feature class for impervious surfaces at the City of Kansas City, MO. Previous roles include GIS Technician at BHC RHODES, where utility mapping was performed, and Assistant Information (GIS) Specialist at Burns & McDonnell, focusing on the georeferencing and digitization of power company imagery. Early in the career, Sarah worked as a GIS Specialist at Wilson & Company, Inc., managing quality assurance for CADD projects and digitizing historic river charts. Additional experience includes a contract position with the US Army Corps of Engineers and an internship with the City of Lenexa. Sarah holds a Bachelor's degree in Geography from Northwest Missouri State University and an Associate's degree from Metropolitan Community College-Maple Woods.
