Travis Wright

Travis Wright is an experienced Building Inspector currently serving in the City of Katy since January 2019 and in the City of Southaven since November 2017. Prior roles include Assistant Fire Marshal at the Virginia State Fire Marshals Office from 2015 to 2017, where oversight of multiple inspections for state-owned facilities and serving as a local fire official were key responsibilities. As a Fire Inspector for the Newport News Fire Marshals Office from 2013 to 2015, Travis Wright led commercial fire inspections and training programs in fire safety. Experience in the Poquoson Fire Department from 2004 to 2013 involved advancing through various positions to supervise fire code inspections and community training. Earlier, from 2001 to 2004, work was performed as a Firefighter/Medic at Chesterfield County Fire and EMS, focusing on fire suppression and advanced life support operations. Travis Wright holds a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership and a Bachelor's degree in Fire Science Management from American Military University.
