Tim Hanser has a diverse work experience, starting in 2000 as a Research Assistant at SSCI, Inc., specializing in solid state characterization of pharmaceuticals. Tim then worked at Pfizer as a Senior Associate Scientist, focusing on the solid state characterization of APIs and excipients. In 2007, they transitioned to the NYC Department of Education, where they worked as a Science Teacher until 2011. Tim then took on the role of Public Works Director at the City of New London, CT, responsible for managing a department with an $8 million annual operations budget and $5 million capital budget. Afterward, they served as a Budget Analyst Consultant at the Town of Simsbury, where they developed tools for budget analysis and forecasting. Tim then joined The School District of Philadelphia as the Assistant Director of Finance and Operations for the Charter Schools Office, responsible for evaluating financial health and fiscal management of charter schools. Currently, they are working as the Financial Operations Manager at the City of Kirkland. Throughout their career, Tim has demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, budget management, and solid state characterization.
Tim Hanser completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry at Purdue University from 1995 to 2000. Tim then pursued a Master's degree in Education at Pace University-New York from 2007 to 2009. Most recently, they obtained a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree with a focus in financial management and leadership from the University of Connecticut between 2014 and 2017.
