Bob Wright, AICP, has an extensive career in urban planning and project coordination, currently serving as Project Coordinator for the City of Kissimmee since 2005. Prior to this role, Bob was the Planning Director for Osceola County from 2000 to 2004 and held the position of Planning Manager at Polk County BoCC from 1995 to 2000. Additional experience includes roles as Senior Planner for the City of Columbus, Zoning Director for the Village of Canal Winchester, and Principal Planner for Manatee County BoCC. Bob began the professional journey as a Planner for the City of Mentor and has a background that includes safety representation at Keiser Engineers and nursing support with the Veterans Health Administration, following military service as a Hospital Corpsman in the US Navy. Academic qualifications include a Master of Regional Planning in Land Use Planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Kent State University, and an Associate of Arts in Sociology from Lakeland Community College.
