Conal McNamara

Conal McNamara currently serves as the City Manager for the City of La Palma since April 2020, bringing extensive experience in community development and public administration. Previously, McNamara held the position of Director of Community Development for the City of Whittier from September 2014 to April 2020 and served as the Assistant Director of Economic & Community Development for the City of Azusa from May 2008 to September 2014. Earlier in the career, McNamara worked as a Management Specialist II at the County of Los Angeles Department of Public Works and as a Policy Deputy for Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich. McNamara holds a Master of Public Administration from California State University, Northridge, and two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and Social Ecology from the University of California, Irvine.
