Bennie Boles

Bennie Boles serves as the Assistant Chief of Police and Interim Chief of Police for the City of La Porte, a position held since April 2022, previously holding the rank of Lieutenant at the La Porte Police Department from May 2017 to April 2022, where responsibilities included being the Evening Shift Watch Commander. Prior roles included Traffic Sergeant, focusing on grants and crash reconstruction, and Administrative Sergeant, handling Internal Affairs and Public Relations. Earlier experience includes serving as Patrol Sergeant and various supervisory roles within the Patrol Bureau. Boles holds a Master of Science in Criminal Justice Leadership and Management from Sam Houston State University, has completed the LEMIT Leadership Command College, and earned a Bachelor's degree in Organizational Leadership from Mountain State University. Educational background also includes a high school diploma from West High School, obtained in 1986.
