Matthew Kenney

Matthew Kenney has extensive experience in community recreation and program coordination, currently serving as a Recreation Coordinator for the City of Laguna Niguel, CA, since July 2017. Responsibilities include developing and evaluating community programs and coordinating various recreation, leisure, and special event services. Kenney previously held multiple roles within the City of Laguna Niguel, including sports field maintenance and Senior Recreation Leader, overseeing the Athletic Park Ambassador Program. Prior experience includes a position as Community Services Senior Leader - Athletics in Irvine, leadership roles with Rancho Niguel Little League, and a background in education as a Substitute Teacher. Additionally, Kenney managed restaurant operations at Hennessey's Tavern and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Social Science from San Diego State University.
