Mark Calvert

Mark Calvert has extensive experience in public works and engineering, currently serving as the Public Works Operation Manager for the City of Lake Wales since April 2018, overseeing the Streets, Cemetery, Fleet, and Facilities departments. Prior to this role, Mark held various engineering positions, including Engineer Technician responsible for utility project plans, and Inspector for Collier County, where management and inspection of aquatic mowing by contractors were key responsibilities. Mark spent over three decades with the City of Columbus, advancing from Drafter Trainee to Engineer Associate III, where significant contributions included managing pavement marking projects, coordinating traffic signal construction, and developing a comprehensive maintenance program. Mark's early career included roles at Crown Enterprises and Worthington Industries, with a foundational education from Westland High School and Paul C. Hayes Vocational School. Proficiencies include AutoCad, ArcGIS, and Microsoft Office Suite.
