Angela Ramirez

Angela Ramirez currently serves as the Communications Manager for the City of Lakewood, where responsibilities include leading communications strategy and managing a dedicated team to enhance community engagement. In addition, Angela works as a freelance copywriter for Government Social Media LLC, focusing on blog posts that provide insights for government communications professionals. Prior experience includes roles as Communications Strategist for the City of Tampa, overseeing social media channels and community engagement, and as Lead Copywriter and Manager at Very Copy and PBNButler, developing diverse digital content and managing a team of writers. Angela has a Master's degree in Mass Communication: Digital Strategy from the University of Florida, along with a Bachelor's Degree in Professional Writing, Rhetoric, and Technology from the University of South Florida. Angela is also pursuing a Graduate Certificate in Social Media Studies at the University of Florida.
