James Kunke has a diverse work experience in the field of community relations, tourism, public information, and journalism. James started their career as a Reporter/Editor at Mid-Cities News and DFW Suburban Newspapers in 1988. From 1996 to 1999, they worked as the Hometown Star Editor at the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. Following that, they joined the City of Southlake as a Public Information Officer from 1999 to 2002. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Community Relations and Tourism at the City of Lewisville since 2002.
James Kunke attended The University of Texas at Arlington from 1989 to 1994, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism. James furthered their education in 2013 by enrolling at Texas Christian University - School of Strategic Communication, completing the Certified Public Communicator program in 2014.
