Elizabeth Beeler McWhorter PhD is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in education, community outreach, and arts advocacy. Currently serving as a Commissioner on the Human Services Commission for the City of Livermore since December 2022, Elizabeth also works at Las Positas College as a Curriculum & Student Learning Outcomes Specialist and Outreach Specialist for Work-Based Learning and Career Education. Previous roles include Vice Chair and Commissioner of the Commission for the Arts in Livermore, and Community Outreach and Development Coordinator at the Livermore Lab Foundation. Elizabeth’s educational background includes a PhD in Higher Education & Student Affairs Administration from Indiana University Bloomington, as well as a MA in Educational Leadership & Administration and a BA in Political Science from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo. Elizabeth's diverse skill set includes event coordination, student engagement, and curriculum development, contributing to a rich career dedicated to enhancing educational access and community development.
