Eric Hagen

Eric Hagen possesses extensive experience in building management and architectural services, currently serving as the Building Official and Building Division Manager for the City of Lompoc since January 2020. Previously held roles include Interim Building Official and Plan Check Engineer at California Code Check, Chief Building Official for the City of San Luis Obispo, and Supervising Plan Check Engineer for Santa Barbara County. Eric's architectural career began in 1991 with Eric Hagen Architecture, focusing on California building codes and accessibility laws, while also managing their own architectural firm from 1991 to 1998. A graduate of California Polytechnic State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Eric has a solid foundation in both practical and technical aspects of building and safety regulations.
