Ruth Hill-Tout

Ruth Hill-Tout is an experienced educator currently serving as the Assistant Principal, Teaching & Learning at City of London Academies Trust since July 2022, focusing on the development of high-quality teaching practices and continuous professional development. Previously, Ruth held the position of Associate Assistant Principal, Teacher Development, where collaboration with leadership facilitated the creation of impactful CPD programs. Ruth's career at City of London Academy, Southwark included roles as Lead English, Director of Initial Teacher Training, and Literacy Coordinator, emphasizing teacher training, curriculum development, and literacy improvement. Prior to this, Ruth held a co-leadership role at London Enterprise Academy and worked as an English Teacher. Ruth's academic background includes a Master’s degree in Education, Policy and Society from King's College London and a PGCE from the University of Oxford.
