Alexandra Leader has a diverse range of work experience. Alexandra started their career with Marks and Spencer as a Store Manager, where they successfully managed a team of 80 staff and achieved various store performance targets. After that, they joined Reed in Partnership, where they held roles as an Operations Manager and Senior Operations Manager, overseeing complex employability and skills contracts and managing multiple subcontractors. Alexandra then transitioned to the City of London Corporation, where they took on the positions of SME Lead and Head of SME Delivery. In these roles, they developed and implemented strategies to support the SME ecosystem in the City and coordinated SME activities across the organization. Additionally, they served as a School Governor at Unicorn Primary School. Overall, Alexandra Leader has demonstrated expertise in managing teams, developing strategies, and collaborating with stakeholders in both public and private sectors.

Alexandra Leader completed their Bachelor's Degree in Retail Management from the London College of Communication between 1995 and 1998. In 2015, they obtained a Prince2 Practitioner certificate in Project Management from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT. From 1987 to 1994, Alexandra studied Sociology, Geography, and Politics at Bullers Wood School for Girls and obtained an A-level degree. In 2010 and 2011, they received a Performance Coaching certificate from ITOL. Most recently, in 2020 and 2021, Alexandra completed a SFEDI Level 5 Certificate in Professional Business and Enterprise Support Services with a focus on Business Advice.
