Beth Souhrada has extensive work experience in human resources. Beth started their career in 1990 as the HR and Accounting Manager at Prime Plating, Inc. Beth then worked as an HR Administrator at Foreman Group from 2005 to 2007. In 2007, they moved to Wright & McGill Co. and held the position of HR Administrator until 2008. Since 2008, they have been working at the City of Longmont, where they started as an HR Partner and currently holds the position of Human Resources Assistant Director. In their current role, they are responsible for various HR program areas such as recruitment, equal employment opportunity, regulatory compliance, training and organizational development, management coaching, compensation management, and labor/employee relations. Beth also oversees the front office functions and supervises administrative and temporary staff.
Beth Souhrada has a diverse education history. Beth obtained an MBA in Risk Management Insurance from Golden Gate University, where they studied from 1986 to 1988. Prior to that, they earned a BA in Business Economics from UC Santa Barbara, attending from 1982 to 1984. In addition to their degrees, Beth has also earned certifications in their field. In 2007, they obtained the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR®) Certification from the HR Certification Institute (HRCI). Later, in 2015, they achieved the SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) designation from SHRM.
