Valerie Dodd

Valerie Dodd has extensive experience in executive leadership and marketing strategy across various sectors. Currently, as Executive Director of NextLight at the City of Longmont since August 2019, Dodd leads fiber optic gigabit Internet service delivery for the Longmont community. Dodd's prior roles include serving as Employee Experience Director at CenturyLink, where foundational employee experience initiatives were established post-merger, and a Vice President in multiple capacities during the Level3 Communications acquisition. Earlier career positions include Marketing Director at Connect.com, Marketing Manager at ALLTEL, and Account Executive at Stone Ward Marketing and Advertising Agency. Dodd holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Arkansas and is a graduate of the Executive Development Program at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School.
