Derek Scheerer

Derek Scheerer is an experienced planning professional currently serving as a Planner for the City of Maricopa since January 2022. Prior to this role, Derek held the position of Senior Planner with the Ak-Chin Indian Community from April 2019 to August 2022. Derek’s earlier experience includes serving as a Planner for the Maricopa County Department of Planning and Development from January 2015 to April 2019 and as a Senior City Planner with the City of New Orleans Planning Commission from February 2008 to October 2014.
