Jennifer Olson

Jennifer Olson currently serves as the Director of Business Development for the City of Marion, Illinois, focusing on business retention, attraction, and fostering an entrepreneurial environment. In addition to this role, Olson is the owner of The Lookout at the Lake, a lakeside vacation rental. Previous experience includes serving as the Economic Development Director for the Greater Egypt Regional Planning and Development Commission, President and CEO of the Carbondale Chamber of Commerce, and various positions related to commercial lending and marketing. Olson holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Marketing from McKendree University and has completed multiple leadership programs, including a certificate from Harvard Kennedy School.
