Amy Geisler has a diverse work experience in various positions related to residential finance and planning and economic development. Amy started their career in 2002 as an Associate Planner and Interim Assistant Community Development Director for the City of Ramsey. In 2008, they joined the City of Minneapolis as a Senior Project Coordinator in the Residential Finance department, where they worked until 2014. From 2014 to 2016, Amy worked as a Development Manager for Transit Oriented Development at the Metropolitan Council. In 2016, they joined the City of Saint Paul's Planning and Economic Development department as a Principal Project Manager until 2018. Currently, Amy is working for the City of Minneapolis as a Supervisor in the Residential Finance department and was recently promoted to the role of Manager in September 2021.
Amy Geisler completed their Bachelor of Science in Housing Studies and Bachelor of Arts in Russian Language and Literature at the University of Minnesota from 1996 to 2000. Amy then pursued a Master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning at the same university from 2001 to 2003. In addition to their formal education, they obtained a certification in Housing Development Finance Professional from the National Development Council in December 2010.
