Andrew Hawkins has a diverse work experience in various government organizations. From 2009 to 2009, they worked with the U.S. House of Representatives on the Subcommittee on Oversight & Investigation, providing research support for investigations and relevant hearings. From 2010 to 2017, they worked at the U.S. Department of Education, with roles such as Organizational Performance Officer and Business Program Management Analyst. In these positions, they managed projects, reported performance metrics, and worked on strategic planning efforts. Since 2017, Andrew has been with the City of Minneapolis, first as Chief of Staff and Manager in the Office of Administration & Policy for the Department of Civil Rights, and currently as a Senior Project Manager in the City Auditor Policy & Research Division.
Andrew Hawkins holds a Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) degree with an emphasis in Health Administration from the University of North Dakota. Andrew obtained this degree between 2007 and 2009. Prior to that, they received a Bachelor of Public Administration (B.P.A.) degree in Public Administration from the University of North Dakota, which they completed between 2003 and 2007.
In addition to their degrees, Andrew Hawkins has obtained two additional certifications. In March 2020, they earned a certification in Customer & Partner Relationship Management (CRM/PRM) from DePaul University. Furthermore, in December 2014, they obtained a certification in Strategic Planning, Processes, and Management – Balanced Scorecard Professional from The George Washington University.
