Daniel Peterson has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Daniel started their career in 2003 as an Infantry Team Leader in the Minnesota Army National Guard. After leaving the military in 2009, Daniel joined Hennepin County Public Works as a Job Site Supervisor and worked there until 2012.

In 2013, Daniel transitioned to Prime Therapeutics, where they initially served as a Benefit Design Specialist before progressing to the role of Product Operations - Senior Specialist. Daniel worked at Prime Therapeutics until 2015.

From 2015 to 2019, Daniel worked at King County, WA, where they held two roles. Daniel started as a Veteran Fellowship II, focusing on Business Development and Contract Compliance in the construction industry. Later, they became a Program Manager III-Apprenticeship & Labor Equity Coordinator, where they collaborated with pre-apprentice and apprentice training programs to support individuals entering construction jobs.
