Desiree Hadley

Desiree Hadley is an accomplished media professional and community organizer with extensive experience in film, television, and digital content creation. Currently serving as the Director of the Newark Office of Film and TV, Desiree manages the film permitting process and promotes Newark within the Film & TV industry while also assisting with workforce development initiatives. As CEO and Editor in Chief of Urban Girl Magazine, Desiree leads content creation and editorial efforts for the lifestyle blog and digital magazine. Previous roles include positions in the Newark Parking Authority, the City of Newark, and KIPP New Jersey, where Desiree developed strong organizational and multimedia skills. With a background in journalism from Rutgers University and Hampton University, Desiree has a proven track record of successfully producing podcasts and community events while advocating for local issues.
