Zach McHatton

Zach McHatton is a seasoned professional in community and economic development with extensive experience in municipal government. Currently serving as the Community Development Director for the City of Newton, KS since February 2021, Zach previously held the position of Economic Development Director for the City of Haysville from April 2016 to February 2021. Prior to that role, Zach worked as the Planning and Community Relations Coordinator for Haysville from May 2007 to April 2016, and was involved in parks management. Early career experience includes managing Fatso's Public House and Stage from December 2004 to March 2007. Zach holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Wichita State University, obtained between 2008 and 2010, and attended The University of Kansas from 2000 to 2006.
