Sierra Marrero serves as the Director of Engineering and Community Development for the City of Oakland Park, overseeing the Engineering and Construction Management Department and managing a $40 million bond program and capital improvement projects. Previous roles include Project Manager for Utilities at the City of Margate, where senior-level management of capital improvement projects was conducted, and Project Manager/Superintendent at Ocean Bay Construction, Inc., managing $20 million in utility projects. Prior experience with the Florida Department of Transportation included roles as Program Services Support Specialist and Local Agency Program Administrator, involving management of over 50 projects totaling more than $80 million. Sierra Marrero holds a Master of Public Administration from Barry University, a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Daytona State College, a Bachelor of Business Administration from Broward College, and an Associate’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Broward College.
