David Moore

David Moore is a seasoned professional in urban forestry and environmental management, currently serving as the Senior Tree Supervisor for the City of Oakland, where responsibilities include overseeing 55,000 street trees and 12,000 landscaped park trees since January 2018. Previously, David held roles such as Senior Forester at the NYC Department of Parks & Recreation, managing government contracts and authoring an article on street tree selection, and Executive Board Member/Past-President for the New York State Urban Forestry Council, leading strategic planning initiatives. David's earlier experience includes managing significant tree planting contracts, developing educational programs, and serving as Forestry Manager at the New York Restoration Project while supporting the MillionTreesNYC Initiative. David holds a Master's of Public Policy in Environmental and Regulatory Policy from Georgetown University and a degree in Forest Resources Management from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry.
