Nigp-Cpp Kim Baker

Kim Baker, NIGP-CPP, serves as the Procurement and Contracting Manager for the City of Palm Springs since August 2021. Prior to this role, Kim held the position of Purchasing Officer for the City of Pearland, Texas, from February 2021 to August 2021, and served as the Director of Contracts and Procurement for the City of Corpus Christi from January 2016 to December 2020, overseeing contracts, procurements, the central warehouse, and mail distribution. Kim's extensive experience also includes positions such as Associate Principal and Assistant Program Manager for Paslay Management Group, where responsibilities included contracts and financial tracking for a significant capital development program, as well as roles as Sr. Contract Administrator at SCRRA and Contract Manager at both Dallas Fort Worth International Airport and Fort Worth Transportation Authority. Kim began a career in contracts management at TXDOT, serving as Contracts Manager from 1986 to 1997.
