Dacil Tilos has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Currently, they serve as the Director of Communications for the City of Paterson. Prior to this, they held the position of Public Information Officer for the same city. From 2020 to 2021, Dacil worked as a Senior Community Relations Specialist, specializing in Special Projects & Events.

Before joining the City of Paterson, Dacil worked at the Community Charter School of Paterson. Dacil held the position of Director of Community Schools, where they were responsible for developing and evaluating Expanded Learning Time programs, parent engagement programs, and community engagement events. Dacil had previously worked as the Assistant Director of Community Schools, where they played a key role in program development and coordination.

Dacil also worked as the Project Director for the 21st Century Community Learning Center at the Community Charter School of Paterson. In this role, they oversaw the implementation of afterschool educational and enrichment activities and ensured program compliance with state and federal requirements.

Prior to their roles at the Community Charter School, Dacil co-founded Art In Motion Inc., a non-profit organization that provides quality programs in arts, service, and leadership for inner-city youth. As the CEO and Co-Founder, they developed and implemented strategies for membership retention and ensured the quality of programs through talent acquisition and training.

Dacil's early career includes a role as a Program Supervisor at Girls Scouts of Northern New Jersey, where they collaborated with the Membership Development Manager to deliver programs that empowered girls and developed partnerships.

Throughout their career, Dacil has demonstrated a strong commitment to community engagement, program development, and effective communication.
