John Dossey

John Dossey has extensive experience in law enforcement and municipal management, serving as City Manager for the City of Pekin since October 2015, where responsibilities included oversight of a police department with a $9 million annual budget. Prior roles at the Village of Hanover Park included Investigations Lieutenant, overseeing the investigation unit, and Police Sergeant, supervising everyday police operations. John also worked as a Police Officer in the Village of Sugar Grove and the Village of Glen Ellyn. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Criminal Justice/Police Science from Columbia College, a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Benedictine University, and an Associate's degree in Law Enforcement Administration.
