Gretchen Shanfeld

Gretchen Shanfeld currently serves as the Health and Medical Program Planning Manager for the City of Philadelphia, focusing on comprehensive response plans for health-related issues and fostering partnerships with various stakeholders. Prior to this, Gretchen held multiple leadership roles at the Nationalities Service Center, including Chief of Staff, Senior Director of Program Operations and Strategic Growth, Director of Health and Wellness, Refugee Health Coordinator, Case Manager for the Survivors of Torture Program, and Case Aide for Health, where efforts included orchestrating responses to Afghan and Ukrainian refugees and establishing health programs for refugees. Earlier experience includes serving as Program Director for KRA Corporation and as an English as a Second Language Tutor/Teacher at the University of Delaware. Educational qualifications comprise a Master's in Emergency and Disaster Management from Thomas Jefferson University, a Master of Public Health in International Health from Temple University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Delaware.
