Leonela Felix serves as the State Representative for District 61 in Pawtucket, representing the Rhode Island House of Representatives since January 2021, where Leonela is a member of the Judiciary Committee and previously served on the State Government and Elections Committee. Felix is actively involved with the National Conference of State Legislatures as Vice-Chair of the Law, Criminal Justice, and Public Safety Standing Committee and as an Opioid Policy Fellow. In addition, Felix holds positions in the City of Providence as Ethics Education and ADA Coordinator, providing compliance guidance and training, and as Deputy Director of Policy, leading initiatives on immigration and education under Mayor Jorge O. Elorza. With a strong background in policy advocacy and legal support through various roles, including fellowships at the German Marshall Fund and Rodel Institute, Felix has consistently worked to advance inclusive policies and civic engagement within the community. Educational credentials include a Juris Doctorate from New England Law | Boston and a Bachelor of Arts from Rhode Island College.
