Ryan Veldkamp

Ryan Veldkamp currently serves as the Director of Enterprise Strategy for the City of Red Deer, a position held since September 2014, where responsibilities include leading the Enterprise Strategy Office and supporting organizational strategy implementation. Prior to this role, Ryan held various positions such as Social Wellness & Integration Supports Superintendent, Housing & Homelessness Supports Supervisor, and Social Planning Supervisor within the City of Red Deer. Earlier professional experience includes serving as the Community Development Coordinator for the Town of Sylvan Lake and the Project Coordinator for the Mental Health Capacity Building in Schools Initiative with the Town of Vegreville. Ryan began in the industry as an Assistant Manager at Vegreville Dairy Queen. Ryan is currently pursuing a National Advanced Certificate in Local Authority Administration at the University of Alberta, building upon a BA in Sociology obtained from the same institution.
