MacKenzie Mossing

Mackenzie Mossing has extensive experience in policy and environmental advocacy, currently serving as Chief Policy Officer in the Office of Mayor Matt Mahan for the City of San José since August 2018. Prior to this role, Mackenzie was Deputy Chief of Staff and Senior Policy Advisor in the Office of Mayor Sam Liccardo. Mackenzie also worked as an Environmental Advocacy Associate at the Santa Clara Valley Audubon Society and served in various roles related to animal care and conservation, including as an Animal Keeper at Conservation Ambassadors Incorporated and an intern at SAVE THE ELEPHANTS and Cheetah Conservation Fund. Mackenzie holds a Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, completed in 2015.
