Jennifer Marten

Jennifer Marten is a Project Engineer I at the City of Santa Barbara, with experience beginning in January 2022. Prior to this role, Jennifer worked as a Project Engineer at Engineering Enterprises, Inc., where responsibilities included municipal permit reviews and construction observations. Additional experience includes serving as IWIP Data Management Assistant at the Illinois State Water Survey, drafting ArcGIS maps, and working as an Engineering Learning Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where Jennifer supported freshmen in engineering courses. Earlier research at The Fraterrigo Lab Group focused on climate change impacts on plant species, complemented by tenure as a Chemistry Lab Assistant at Oakton Community College. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
