Kristian Hoffland is an experienced energy analyst currently serving as Energy Analyst II with the City of Santa Barbara's Sustainability & Resilience department since March 2021, focusing on electrification, Community Choice Energy, and microgrid programs. Prior to this role, Kristian worked as a Program Analyst in the Building Performance and Enforcement Branch at the DC Department of Energy & Environment from April 2020 to March 2021, specifically on the Building Energy Performance Standard. Between April 2016 and April 2020, Kristian contributed as a Green & Energy Plans Reviewer at the DC Department of Consumer & Regulatory Affairs, working on green and energy code development. Previous experience includes serving as Project Architect at Rich Markus Architects, where over 50 projects were managed, and as an Associate Architect at Erik Hoffland Architects. Kristian's career began in interior design at Ambiente European Tile Design. Educationally, Kristian holds a degree in Environmental Design, Industrial Design, and Green Buildings from Syracuse University, completed in 2007.
