Thomas Ahrens

Thomas Ahrens has extensive experience working as a Chief Building Official in various cities. Thomas started their career in 1996 as an Assistant Building Official and Assistant Fire Marshal in the South San Francisco Fire Department. In 2001, they became the Chief Building Official for the City of Mill Valley, where they worked until 2004. From 2005 to 2010, they served as the Chief Building Official, and later as the Chief Building Official/Fire Marshal, for the City of San Rafael. In 2018, they held the position of Chief Building Official for both the Town of Ross and the City of Sausalito. Currently, they are the Chief Building Official for the City of Sausalito.
