Shawn Delahanty has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Shawn began their career at Waccamaw as a Head Cashier, where they gained valuable skills in customer service and leadership. Shawn then joined LaSalle Bristol as an MIS Team Intern, assisting in the integration of a program for salespeople to use PDAs and developing labels for a new bar-coding project. Following this, they worked at Sam's Club as a Membership Associate, where their responsibilities included enrolling new members, handling refunds, and answering customer inquiries. In 2001, Shawn joined the City of South Bend as a Systems Specialist. Shawn quickly advanced to the role of Systems Specialist III, specializing in project management and providing end-user support for computer and phone systems. Shawn served as the Director of Information Technology (Interim) from 2014 to 2015 and then assumed the position of Director of Innovation & Technology Services, where they continue to contribute their expertise.
Shawn Delahanty earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from St. Joseph's College (IN) from 1997 to 2001. Prior to that, they obtained a High School Degree from Marian High School from 1993 to 1997. In addition to their formal education, Shawn also holds certifications in ITIL Foundations from Pink Elephant and is a Certified Unmanned Aircraft Systems Pilot from the Federal Aviation Administration.
