Henry Yanez

Henry Yanez has extensive experience in public service, currently serving as a Councilman for the City of Sterling Heights since January 2019, drawing on prior roles as a firefighter and paramedic in the Sterling Heights Fire Department. Yanez also represents Sterling Heights and north Warren as a Michigan State Representative since January 2013. Additionally, Yanez previously served as the Chair of the Michigan Democratic Party's 10th Congressional District from February 2009 to January 2013. Educational credentials include an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree in Fire Science/Fire-fighting from Oakland Community College.
