Carrie Kashar

Carrie Kashar, Ed.D., LEED Green Associate, serves as the Sustainability Officer for the City of Sunrise since August 2018 and has held the position of Senior Natural Resources Specialist at Broward County Environmental Planning and Community Resilience Division since December 2013. Kashar's achievements include implementing strategic action plans for climate change, enhancing the countywide property-assessed clean energy program, and conducting comprehensive sustainability analyses. Previous roles include Assistant Director of Sustainability at Florida International University and Special Projects Coordinator at Broward County Waste and Recycling Services, showcasing a strong background in sustainability and management. Kashar holds a Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership and an MBA in Business Administration, both from Nova Southeastern University.
