Robert Ruiz

Robert Ruiz currently serves as the Assistant City Attorney for the City of Sunrise, a position held since May 2024. Prior to this role, Robert was a Police Legal Advisor for the Miami-Dade Police Department from March 2022 to May 2024 and worked as an Assistant State Attorney at the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office from August 2014 to March 2022. Additionally, Robert held certified legal intern positions at the same office in 2013 and has experience as an extern at the Fifth Judicial Circuit Court of Florida. Robert began a legal career as an intern at the Jeffrey Feiler Law Firm from 2005 to 2007. Academic credentials include a Juris Doctor from the University of Florida - Fredric G. Levin College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Florida.
