Steve Schoeny is an experienced city manager currently serving the City of Upper Arlington since September 2019. Previously, Schoeny was the Director of the Department of Development for the City of Columbus from June 2013 to September 2019. Earlier in their career, Steve worked as a principal at Ice Miller Whiteboard, a consulting firm specializing in development strategies for various sectors. Schoeny also held multiple positions within the Ohio Department of Development from 1997 to 2010, including Director of Strategic Business Investment and Manager of the Office of Tax Incentives, where responsibilities encompassed business attraction and economic development initiatives. Schoeny began their professional journey as a Staff Economist at Economic Consulting Services. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Public Management from the University of Maryland and dual Bachelor's degrees in Economics and Political Science from Ohio University.
