Michael Hawthorne, PE, QSD, currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer at Worthy of Dignity since December 2023. With extensive experience in civil engineering, Michael has been an Associate Engineer at the City of Walnut Creek since January 2005, where responsibilities include developing plans and managing pavement rehabilitation projects. Previously, Michael held positions such as Assistant Engineer for the City of Walnut Creek and Site Civil Engineer at Carollo Engineers, coordinating with government agencies and managing project schedules. Earlier roles included Support Project Manager at ViaNovus and Planner/Analyst at the Metropolitan Transportation Commission. Michael holds a Master of Engineering in Construction Management and Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Prairie View A&M University.
