Katy Leggett, GISP has a diverse work experience in GIS and information management. Katy began their career as a GIS Technician at the University of South Florida - College of Marine Science, where they worked on projects such as analyzing the Deep Horizon Oil Spill and conducting data analysis for projected sea level rise. Katy then joined Florida Power & Light as a Senior GIS Specialist, where they completed various spatial analyses, developed LiDAR pilots, and managed vegetation geodatabases. Currently, Katy serves as the Chief Information Officer and GIS Manager at the City of Woodstock in Georgia. Their responsibilities include overseeing GIS systems, managing geospatial data, and providing leadership in information management.

Katy Leggett, GISP, obtained a Graduate Certificate in Geographic Information Science and Cartography from the University of South Florida in 2011. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Geography at the University of South Florida in 2010. In addition to their academic achievements, Katy also holds a certification as a Geographic Information Systems Professional (GISP), which they obtained from the GIS Certification Institute (GISCI) in June 2015.
