Niwana Ray

Niwana Ray, AICP, currently serves as Senior City Planner for the City of Woodstock, Georgia, a position held since July 2018, with previous experience as City Planner. From September 2008 to June 2018, Niwana worked at Pond & Company in various roles, including Operations Administrator, where responsibilities included executive support to the Chief Operating Officer and oversight of project administrative staff. Initial planning experience was gained as Planner I and Planning Technician, assisting municipal planning and development activities. Earlier career stages included serving as Sr. Administrative Assistant for the Transportation & Community Development Department, and as a Legal Administrative Assistant at RileyMclendon LLC, managing schedules and preparing documentation for municipal courts. Niwana holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Mercer University, earned from 2001 to 2005.
