Janice Deccio

Janice Deccio currently serves as a 4th District City Council member and Mayor for the City of Yakima, a position held since January 2022. Concurrently, Janice has been a Communications and Events Professional at Catholic Charities Serving Central Washington since February 2015. Previous experience includes roles as Director of Marketing at Yakima Regional Medical and Cardiac Center from December 2005 to April 2009, and as Director of Marketing and Public Relations at Comprehensive Mental Health from August 1999 to December 2005. Janice began a career in publishing as an Art Director and Editor at Columbia Publishing from July 1995 to August 1999. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from the University of Washington, a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Media/Print Journalism from Central Washington University, and an Associate of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from Yakima Valley College.
