Gary Gibson

Gary Gibson serves as the President and CEO of City Utilities of Springfield, a position held since March 2006. In this role, Gary provides strategic leadership, ensuring efficient operations and advising the Board of Public Utilities on activities and policy recommendations. Previous positions include Associate General Manager for Customer Operations and Communications, where responsibilities encompassed customer relations and financial strategy development; Associate General Manager for Economic Development and SpringNet, focusing on economic development initiatives; and Director of Distribution, overseeing engineering and operations for various utility systems. Gary's career with City Utilities began in 1991, progressing through various engineering and management roles. A graduate of Missouri University of Science and Technology, Gary holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
