Michael Tang

Michael Tang, MD, MBA has an extensive background in healthcare, particularly in the areas of integrated care, behavioral health, and child mental health. Michael is currently working at Cityblock Health as the VP of Integrated Care and previously served as the Head of Behavioral Health at the same company. Prior to that, they held roles at RIZE Massachusetts, where they were a member of the Board of Directors and chaired the Program Strategy Committee. Michael also has experience at the American Academy of Pediatrics, where they co-chaired the Child Mental Health Taskforce for the Massachusetts Chapter.

Dr. Tang's work experience also includes positions at The Dimock Center, where they served as the Chief Behavioral Health Officer overseeing a range of behavioral health services and managing a large team and budget. Michael also acted as the Clinical Director of Behavioral Health Integration, leading a team providing integrated care at a Federally Qualified Health Center.

In addition, Dr. Tang has teaching experience at Harvard Medical School, where they served as a part-time Lecturer in Child Psychiatry and Pediatrics. Michael also held various clinical fellow and resident positions in Psychiatry, Pediatrics, and Child Psychiatry at Harvard and Massachusetts General Hospital. Their early career includes roles at Boston Medical Center and Health Leads, where they served as the Boston Site Director and supervised programs focused on social determinants of health.

Michael Tang, MD, MBA completed their BA in Sociology at Harvard University from 1997 to 2001. Michael then attended Harvard Medical School from 2003 to 2007, where they obtained their MD degree. In 2018 to 2019, they pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) at The Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University. In terms of certifications, they obtained their Pediatrician certification from the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) in October 2010. Michael also achieved certifications as an Adult Psychiatrist and a Child Psychiatrist from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc. in September 2013 and September 2014, respectively.
