Olivia Antigua

Program Manager, ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge at Civic Nation

Olivia Antigua's work experience includes various roles in different organizations. Olivia started working as a Student Worker for Men's Basketball at the University of Kentucky Athletics in 2017. From 2018 to 2021, they served as a Group Fitness Instructor at the University of Kentucky Campus Recreation and Wellness, where they were responsible for class planning and motivating participants to live healthier lifestyles. Olivia also worked as a Supreme Court Legitimacy Researcher at the University of Kentucky Political Science Department, focusing on judicial imagery and media coverage of the U.S. From 2020 to 2021, they worked as a Constituent Services Support Representative at the Office of the Governor, The Commonwealth of Kentucky, assisting the public with unemployment insurance processes and connecting them to resources. In 2021, they joined Military Veterans of America as a Special Projects Coordinator, where they crafted a strategic plan and prepared legislative strategies for meetings with legislators. Olivia then worked as a Campaign Advisor for Denotra Gunther for Fayette District Judge in 2022, managing a team of interns and coordinating community outreach. At the Harvard Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation, they held multiple positions, including Democracy Summer Fellow in 2022 and Graduate Research Assistant from 2022 to 2023, where they assisted with returning citizens and jail-based voting initiatives. Concurrently, they worked at HealthFitness as a Group Class Instructor, planning classes and guiding participants in kickboxing and indoor cycling to promote exercise and healthy living. Currently, they are employed as a Program Manager for ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge at Civic Nation.

Olivia Antigua completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, with a minor in Journalism Studies, from the University of Kentucky. Olivia also attended the Lewis Honors College and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2020. Then, Olivia pursued their Master's in Public Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School from 2021 to 2023. Additionally, they obtained various certifications, including a Master in Public Policy certification from Harvard Kennedy School, Social and Behavioral Research Investigators certification from the CITI Program, Schwinn Indoor Cycling Certification from Schwinn Indoor Cycling, NETA Group Fitness Certification from NETA - National Exercise Trainers Association, and CPR/AED/First Aid certification from the American Red Cross.
