Balu Subramanya

Balu Subramanya serves as the Chairman and CEO of CivicSmart, Inc. since July 2015, where the company has established itself as a leader in smart city solutions, specifically in citywide on-street parking technologies used by over 2000 cities globally. Prior to this role, Balu held various leadership positions including President at Spectrovation, Inc., which provided advanced technologies for parking management from 2006 to 2015, and CTO and Vice President of IT at Xerox (formerly ACS State and Local Solutions), overseeing technology initiatives in municipal sectors from 2002 to 2006. Earlier career roles include CTO and Vice President at DynRide LLC, Senior Manager at Scientex Corp, Senior Systems Engineer at LCC, and Principal Engineer at Raytheon/NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. Balu holds a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Communications and Space Sciences from Penn State University and a Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering from Bangalore University.
